Today was a work day. It rained off and on throughout the day and that made it much easier to stay confined in the trailer and tied to the computer. It was fun looking over the video and pics of the trip as I prepared the web site.
Our RV Park is very close to an Asian enclave of restaurants and retail stores in Burnaby. So Kam picked us up some delicious Thai food for lunch and I put my head down for a few more hours of editing.
The park had a nice workout facility and we took advantage of that in the early afternoon. It was good to lift some weights again after such a long hiatus. It is tough staying in shape on the road. We hike a lot and do some cycling but the lack of consistent weight training and a desire to sample new foods keeps us a bit behind the 8 ball in regards to our waist lines. Well home is only a few short weeks away and with Summer sports upon us I’m sure we’ll be synching in our belts in no time.
Before settling in for the night we soaked a while in the park’s hot tub. Ahh now that is a just reward for a hard workout. It was a little uncomfortable at first as there was an older gentleman in the tub with us who looked naked. We kind of smiled and said hello but tried not to stare. When he eventually got out we were relieved to discover that he was clothed, but his skimpy flesh colored trunks didn’t hide much either.
After a good long soak. We cooked up some tortellini pasta for dinner and snuggled into our jersey sheets to watch Lost on TV. Ughhhh another episode that left us with more questions than answers! Will we ever know what’s really going on, on this crazy Island.
