I worked this morning, Kam worked out and Laura met up with her Newport buddies for a round of golf.
We had the good fortune to make contact with an old friend of mine from my time in Australia. Joey is currently living in the area going to grad school and she was free for lunch so we planned a rendezvous. We met Joey at the Gypsy Den in the anti-mall retail development.
Lunch was delicious and it was so fun to catch up after not seeing each other for 4 years. That is the wonder of MySpace. It was so easy to get in touch with folks thanks to that amazing website.
Anyhow we had a blast chatting and it was great for her to meet Kamrin. Had she not had class we could have probably talked for hours. It was so nice to know she was doing well, loving school and really happy with life.
We said goodbye and stopped off in Urban Outfitters and spent a fair bit of time and money shopping in this cool store.
When we returned home I did some more updating to the site and Kam cuddled up with a good book. Laura returned from golf and after cleaning up she and Lou went to a church group gathering.

Kam and I hopped in the Fox and drove down to Laguna for a bite to eat. After getting snubbed at the Sapphire restaurant we ended up at BJ’s Brewhouse. What was funny is that the restaurant was totally open nearly 10-12 tables open and the guy said they couldn’t take us until 2 hours later. LOL, on top of that the above statue of the famous Laguna Greeter was in front of the restaurant. I guess we should have taken his advice and head elsewhere for dinner. BJ’s turned our to be a good stop. It was the first time I had been able to visit this restaurant which is soon to open in our Millenia development in Orlando. The beer was tasty and the miniature pizzas we ordered were perfectly cooked and proportioned.
Since the meal took overly long to come the meal was comped by the manager. We of course never noticed it was taking along time. We were just enjoying the sunset and each others conversation. So it came as a surprise to have the meal comped.
This being our last night we felt almost obligated to visit our new favorite spot in Newport – Golden Spoon. Ahhhh Golden Spoon.
We went home watched a bit of tv and then sleepy time.
