Day 21 - Arches National Park

Day 21

We filled up our propane tanks this morning in order to be ready for the cold climates to come as we traveled through Utah. It was a gorgeous day and we were thankful for it because we had quite a bit of ground to cover.

We crossed the state line pretty shortly after leavening the rv park. Crossing into a new state is always cause for celebration. Each crossing carried with it the promise of new sites to see and new adventures to be had.

Entering Utah Ahhh Utah

Our first Utah adventure was to visit Arches National Park. Arches has more sandstone formations than any other place in the world. The colors of the rocks contrasted against the vegetation and the blue sky is a sight to be seen. The topography is truly breathtaking and in all my travels I have never seen anything that compares to the uniqueness of this park.

Taking advantage of the day we hiked through the Devils Garden, a trail that passes several of Arches’s more notable rock formations.

After spending the afternoon hiking and soaking up the scenery we returned to Kodi and started plugging along the highway again heading west. Our goal was basically to go as far as we could and then stay the night somewhere near the freeway. We found what we were looking for in Richfield, UT.
